We registered for this event in July 2020 and have
now firmed up our travel plans by booking accommodation in France and Italy.
Hopefully, the event will still go ahead but because of the ongoing Covid-19
pandemic we have booked our accommodation on a ‘free cancellation’ basis
through booking.com. To register for this event please visit: https://www.giorgioparodi.it/index.php/it/partecipare Price is 22.50 Euro per person. For the events in Genoa, we have booked 4 nights (Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th May) at the Mercure Genova San Biagio, Via Romairone, 14, Genoa. Hotel website: https://all.accor.com/hotel/9617/index.it.shtml#origin=mercure All the locations where the events are being held are 10 miles away from the Mercure Genova San Biagio: Porto Antico, Piazza de Ferrari, Via Roma, Corso Andrea Podesta, Tursi Palace, Palazzo Ducale, Fiera del Mare, Piazzale Kennedy and the Carlo Felice Theatre. We could not find suitable accommodation in Genoa city that met our criteria of safe onsite garage parking for our motorcycles and decent guest facilities. The Mercure Genova San Biagio ticks all the boxes and is in a nice location.

By 'Road Tunnels', you of course mean 'Bike Exhaust Appreciation Auditoriums'.
![]() I've booked a small Flat at the Ancient Port for the extended Weekend. Very reasonable I thought, at just under £200 for four nights, 3 guests (my Wife and Daughter are flying out).
Underground car park. Can't wait . . . |

Ha Ha you're right there, especially with a 1971 Guzzi. For best results leave your earplugs in your pocket!! ![]() |

Thanks Chris.
I've got three tickets, the other two for my Wife, and our youngest Daughter. They were going to fly out (and back), but the flights have been cancelled, with no suitable alternatives available. Not going to ask for a refund on the Event tickets, the organisers are going to need the cash! I'll still ride down if I can, but it's looking less and less likely now . . . |

Despite all the uncertainty around international travel due to Covid-19, last Saturday we decided to register with the Moto Guzzi Club Genova. If we can't travel to Europe and/or the event is cancelled, at least some of the money goes to good causes.
We haven't booked crossings on Eurotunnel yet, we'll leave that until nearer the time. All our accommodation for this trip has been booked on a free cancellation basis. |

Judging from the media stuff May will be pushing it somewhat. But anything can happen, I think they will find a way to curtail travel at Easter break hoping it will help. However when the numbers flying into the UK are into the 1000's per DAY fining 2 people for travelling is a drop in the ocean.
I do not feel confident booking anything yet, not until Easter has unfolded. Last year we had 3 Holidays cancelled, all in the UK we did get refunded and did manage to get away in June, July and October. However whilst the breaks were fine they were alot subdued

I booked my Ferry crossing (Poole~Cherbourg) in mid-Oct.
Not sure if I'd get a refund if I cancelled, but hopefully there's an option to re-book for another date/crossing, or maybe get a voucher. I'm sure it will all depend on how advanced the Vaccination program is by then. Much as I love getting Snow here, it's not helping in that regard . . . . |

Most of the ferry companies seem to be offering open tickets, so you can rebook if your planned trip proves impossible.
