I recall that there was a conversion/modification to the brake pedal on the California with footboards. It brought the brake lever lower and made it usable without lifting your foot off the board. I can't remember any more details about it though. Anyone able to remember?

It was made in USA but the guy stopped doing them I think bad health. Haven't seen in for years

He altered it so it ran under the footboard and came up at the front only works with the more triangular shaped crash bars the rectangular ones it fouls your foot.
However the newer 1400's have that type of rear brake and much better, ergonomically, gear change BUT I have no idea if they can be retro fitted, maybe someone will know? |
