California III, 1993 model which I bought last year in England. The motorcycle stood for almost two years in a garage. It was bought very cheaply, so of course, it has its flaws.
Upon arrival I did a visual inspection, take the fuel tank and seat down and there was a lot of corrosion on the frame. Also, engine and gearbox was coverd with old oil stains and filth.
Everything seen gave me guidelines on what I needed to do.... Take everything apart...  Smile I measured the compression and oil pressure and that's fine so I won't touch the engine for now. This was a year ago....

Further disassembly showed it how much corrosion it's on the frame:

Next, on "to do list" is frame and frame parts... I have sandblast everything and then I was thinking, should I paint the frame or make the powder coat. Due to covid, there was no one who can do powder coating when I wanted, so I decide to paint the frame, myself.... Smile. Bare metal protection I have done in fornt of my workshop. Job very well done. For the painting, I have rent a proper paint booth for a day. Job, again, very well done...

So... with a frame job done, start this year work on the bike....

Looks great Goran, lot's of work to keep you busy as well !. Are you staying original (wiring, switchgear, lights/indicators, exhaust, bars, colour scheme/decals etc) or are you 'upgrading' any bits/colours ??

Thanks. Yes, there was a lot of work... Bike will be original. Only thing that I will not do in this moment is repaint the fuel tank and mudguards. First, I want to finish the bike and try it on the road. Then, next winter all other parts will recieve a new paint.
