This place has just re-opened. I'm not sure how this fits in with existing restrictions in France or indeed travelling from the UK. However, it is an excellent venue for camping or renting a basic chalet. Check out the video showing the site and local roads and scenery. I'm going back there as soon as it's practical to do so.

Hi Dave, thank you for the recommendation it looks like a really great place. I saved it in my holiday favourites folder.

When things get a bit more normal me and the boss hope to be heading there.

I typed it into google maps and it tells me it's only a 743 miles away and will
take me 227 hours to get there

Then I realised it was set to walking - reset to driving and it now tells me it's 819 miles and will take 14 hours    I don't mind the extra miles for the reduced time and effort

You might have to wait a month or two.

I saw yesterday when they confirmed this quarantine thing they said they werehoping to arrange these air bridges to popular holiday destinations, and the list included France.
We can only hope that the French want us of course as our Covid position is now worse than theirs.

That’s really annoying.
I’ve got the face on, should have been at the TT with the lads at the moment instead of home schooling & working from home, neither of which I’m managing very well at the moment! Oh well, it’s Friday and the beer fridge is well stocked! Unhappy

Nice place 👍

If anyone is thinking of going by the look of things going on in France the 15th June is the earliest that any prospects of opening up Europe to tourism is likely, but not certain. Things are almost changing on a daily basis but this is the latest update from Brittany Ferries (there are other crossings available though)

I have booked the 20th June no problems other than a cabin is compulsory on every booking till August

You will have to self isolate in a given address in the UK for 14 days, not allowed out for any reason, £1000 fine if caught breaking the quarantine.
Unless something changes in the next couple of weeks, which is unlikely.

You may have to do the same on returning to France.

I'm not even thinking of booking until this changes.
