How have you routed your Ambassador clutch cable? I can't decide which way to go.

All down the left side under the front half of the tank crossing the dynamo cover at the rear fixing bolt where I have put a "P Clip" to guide the cable. Under the carburettor and thence to the threaded dodad on the battery carrier tray.

doesn't it depend on if you've got a 4 speed box or not? The clutch lever on the 4 speed exits on the left side.
So mine is all down the left side with two p clips on to the Dynamo cover. I tried routing below the left cylinder (as the bends are a little sharp) but the cable was too short.

I've sent mine low, below the cylinder - didn't even think of going over the top. I will investigate.
Were there 5 spd Ambassadors? I suppose late ones could have been.

No, Ambassadors were all 4 spd.
