Although not specific to this thread check out a company called Moto-Renzo in Germany they still appear to have quite a few V50 bits at extremely competitive prices (full ring sets at £40 cheaper than in UK including delivery)
There cylinder and piston sets for the bigger bikes look extremely cheap at approx 300 euro CHRIS |

The ebay listing says it`s a V50/3 piston but the gudgeon pin is only correct for a V50 /2 at 15mm also the crown looks to be non standard and may be a low compression variant, all a bit confusing. CHRIS
My mistake, I read that as mk11.
Gutsibits supplied the used piston. Just seen this new one on ebay if it helps....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-GUZZI-V50-III-74mm-PISTON-COMPLETE/183419551028?epid=19023456905&hash=item2ab4a83d34:g:AiYAAOSwRtNbkVLG
Thanks. I contacted Gutsibits but I was hoping to get a barrel too at that stage and their reply was negative. I got my barrel recoated by workshop in South Africa and used my old piston after carefully chiseling out the remains of the rings. The barrel came back like new and the piston looked fair. I found a few places with V50III pistons but I gave up looking for a V50II. I fear the "bike parked and one barrel corroded solid" syndrome is quite common with V50II's. The bike is running again and I must now look at bodywork, paint, exhausts, center stand ... |

Harpers in America are still quoting availability for V50/2 and V50/3 barrel and piston kits but you have to ring for a price for your bike however I have dealt with them in the past and service was excellent with extremely competitive pricing even with shipping costs included.
