It's worth getting hold of one of the laminated wiring diagrams mentioned in the elctrical section.

There is a wiring diagram on the Greg Bender sitehttp://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_small_blocks_wiring_diagrams_-very_large_and_easy_to_read-.html
Not very clear but save it and zoom in to read it better especially colours

This is in colour so easier to read. V50, V50 II, just the same.

403 Error, file isn't found at the expected location (sorry, retired IT Tech !!). Usually happens when the site owner does a bit of "tidying up" or remodelling..
I haven't tried yet (just back from holiday) but start at the top menu on the site, it has probably just been moved (unless the entire site has gone of course!!)...

Cheers,

Adrian

Works now.

For some reason %20 was being added to the end of the URL.

Tried several of Gregs wiring diagrams out of curiosity and kept getting Error 404.
Some work,some don't.

It's a space in html. Often happens when you copy a URL and paste it. The browser thinks it's part of the link hence the not found message.

To get to the page click on the link then you'll see the %20 at the end - just go to the end of the link and use backspace to delete the 3 characters. Correct link: http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/schematics/1977_V50.gif
