A 9 inch flower pot has the perfect rim radius to match the front mudguard , bit of evostick, Bob's your uncle. 
Rear used a bit of rubber sheet as wide as the tray and glued it to the existing flap, keeps muck off everything there.

Bit of old inner tube was what i used on the V50. Take it down the tyre side of the swinging arm so no crap gets in there.

On my Mk I I extended the front end of the rear mudguard downwards with a piece of rubber sheeting - I think it was part of an old mudflap.  It just touches the swing arm at full suspension movement but keeps the linkages clean. If it was any longer it would rub on the swingarm.

I also drilled horizontal holes into the cast webbing of the bevel box so water drains out - otherwise water collects there.

Afraid the only way to keep the swing arm clean seems to be to wash it.  Being black they show the dirt.

Does anyone know if you can get a rear hugger for the V7lll to stop crap spraying on the rear linkage and upper swing arm
