    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 at 17:05
Greetings from Italy where I am trying to (finally) complete my gear/brake conversion.
Although I have all the spares, I am struggling to fit the pedal for the gear.
A) The support for the pedal rod is not there.
B) The pedal touches the foot rest.

Any idea of what could be wrong?
Thanks

Ah! I think I understand. Are you converting from right foot shift to left foot? If so then you need a different L/H footrest. The pedal shaft passes through a support which is part of the footrest casting/forging? Without it you will have to be very creative!!

Have a look at this. How to convert to a left foot change by fabrication and welding.

I had thought that it was a bracket for floor/foot boards perhaps.
WRONG!
