The critical point is where the wires meet the condenser. Fatigue breaks in such places are quite common. Hold the wires too.

Here is my condenser "bracket".
It will be attached where the negative wire goes.

Whats the smallest wire i can use to connect this condenser. 
Can I go any smaller than 8amp?

There will be virtually no current in that wire, so no problem going smaller, just be aware that thin wires break more easily.
