I would like to do the rose joint mod for the gear change on my bike to make it more precise but I cannot find any photos on a thread anywhere. I have done a search but cannot find any info, could someone point me in the right direction please!

Thanks for that, its just what I wanted. Did you notice a definite improvement to the gear change or was it like that when you bought your bike?

It was a definite improvement from the point when I decided the selector was c**p.

I bought it 30 yrs ago, probably went downhill from there, this should hold as is for another 30.

It's been on for 5 or 10 yrs, holds perfectly. What slack remains is down to the preselector mech. in the box, really nothing you can do.

Also do your best regarding the lever pivot.  Smile
