Or not as the case is. I swapped the leccy petcock for the manual one on the cali ev but (cos im cheap) thought i might rebuild the leccy one. I found the fault with the fuel starvation - one wire barely attached so the plunger wasnt working properly.  But it seems that the rock hard resin is not going to come out unless ì drill it slowly and patiently....sod that.
However i was thinking theres a perfectly good switched 12v i can use for charging or usb. Stick a 5a foose inline and it should work. Oi fink.
Anyone want the old petcock?  John

From what I've read you are better off without the electric one.

Makes sense to use the old feed too, but check if there is already a fuse in the circuit. And don't use it for high loads as the wires will be tiny.

The petcock solenoid is dead - cleaned, resoldered terminals and tested. But its buggered.  I'll run a max 5 amps for the usb and cigar charge socket. Its got a relay anyway. Nowt to lose

I tried a 2nd hand leccy tap for a while, for a laugh. Was nice not having to remember to turn taps off etc. But if left for a while would stick in the closed position. Ended up more trouble than it was worth, even without any electrical gremlins.
