Well group...test ride accomplished. I rode the 2015 Griso with the Minstral exhaust.
I’m not a pro rider folks, just passing on my impressions.
Compared to my Norge...totally different animal. Keep in mind, I knew it would a different riding experience but Unfortunately, everything I loved about my Norge, the Griso was not. The throttle and acceleration were instantaneous and it just got scarier. Lol. Admittedly a blast to ride and could see long rides with bad intentions. The Norge...the power was calm and linear. The Gris felt a wee top heavy where the Norge was well balanced and seemed to carry her weight a little lower. Also, I just couldn’t get comfortable on the Griso. It had the pegs lowered 1” and 1” bar risers but my right foot kept hunting for the brake. Now that may be because I had a Achilles rupture repair last fall and still not quite as flexible but still disconcerting. Also as I noted earlier, I’m a bit long of leg at a 34” inseam. As I rode, I found myself trying to talk myself into the bike. Everything I mentioned above, I knew I would get used to but it came down to having the space and time for 1 bike. Did this fit the bill? As beautiful as she is, I had to walk away. |
