Thanks Barry, I'm not a member but really should take the plunge. They do kinda get under our skin don't they? :)

You should. If nothing else the discount code for Cotswold Outdoors can pay for a year's membership within a purchase or two, and the club magazine is par excellence. Better, I'd say, than many of the bike-related rags on the shop shelves too.
Clubs? Club members? Aye, that they do. Oh. Moto Guzzis? Yup. They certainly do. And under your fingernails. Speaking entirely personally, having for years wanted to get back on a 'round barrel' Tonti, there is now pretty much only one other motorcycle I'd like, could I remotely afford to run another, and that's a Honda XL250S. For getting muddy. And rumour has it that a Moto Guzzi Lodola in 'trail trim' might equally scratch that itch. |

Ade,
You don't need to wait for the Open House weekend to visit Mandello. Just pitch up a little before 15.00 and you have a one hour free visit to the Museum which is fantastic. Have lunch beforehand in the town square and pay your respect to the new statue of Carlo. Look in at Agostini's bike shop, get parts from Stucchi, or for old stuff Guzzi Retro is in the next village. What can beat that for a day out? I'm planning to visit during the centenary celebration in Sept 2021, probably taking my Falcone, but it's a great place to visit at any time. First time outside the gates was 1980, last time in 2018. |

Great pic's Derek. Did you ever give Jacques Cousteau his goggles back?

Ooh I had one of those years ago, I went everywhere on it and abused it mercilessly. It was a bloody horrible purple colour. Haven't seen one in years! I'm sure you'll love it if you can find one. I bet that huge front rubber is a challenge to find these days... Thanks for the info about the factory and visiting the area guys. I guess I fancied the idea of seeing so many Guzzi's in one place. Ade.
