Hi
I’m looking at a set of second hand Hagon shocks. They are listed as fitting for a 1995 Honda CB500 (lowering it).
I want to fit them to my V50 III. They are the correct length. I can get the correct bushings to mount. Is there anything else to consider/worry about?
The model is 31023SA. Hagon specifies 31015SA for V50...

Might be worth contacting Hagon and asking what the Spring specs are.
I'm guessing the differences between them are only bush sizes ,and overall length.

I’ve sent them the question.
The bikes are relatively similar in weight, power and geometry/purpose, which makes me guess the springs are similarish too.

The only variations would be spring weight, overall length and bushing sizes. If the last two are not a problem, then it's unlikely the spring weight will be far out.

Agreed, although in my experience Hagons tend to be oversprung.I have 110 lb/in springs on my V50 by the way which seem spot on.

There will also be a difference in damping between Shocks built for the lightest and heaviest Bikes, but in this case that won't be relevant.

Thanks.
They are almost as new, but cheap.
The honda is similar weight, power, and intended use as my guzzi so I’ll give it a go.
If they don’t feel right I can get new springs and have paid around 100gbp in total for a practically new set I reckon.

The worst case would be new springs, nothing to lose.
