Brian, Tried that and I then had tolog back on (no problem.) Still get the same message when I try to reply.. I'll try a test reply to another topic in the Small Block section.. The fact that I can post here seems to imply it's a file / directory permissions issue. Don't know if anyone here has access to that sort of thing... Cheers, Adrian Bristol UK

Interesting... It let me reply to another topic in Small Blocks. It seems it just doesn't like my thoughts on Swinging Arm Nuts.... Cheers, Adrian Bristol UK |

Are you trying to post having logged on to the forum in the usual way thengone to that topic, or are you trying to reply having used a link in an email from the forum telling you of a previous reply to the topic? Does that make sense? When you delete cookies, the forum won't recognise you to log in automatically, so you would need to log in again.

I was just using the normal "reply" panel on the topic in question.. I did a test to the topic which worked but it still wouldn't accept my original text so I created a smaller post and after 2 attempts got that to work.. Must have been some hidden character / control code embedded somehow that the forum server objected to ! All sorted now -- thanks !! Adrian Bristol UK
