Da ignatizione sweetch...ees off..grazie mi dio...

For future reference (if anyone caresCry) a 4mm drill bit in about 4mm into the bolt bottom. Then tap a Torx 20 or 25 in the hole - whatever feels tight and right. I tapped it with a hammer. Gently and then slow torque twist and both are out. New one is in.

One last thing (I think its obvious why). The rhs caliper is gold and the lhs caliper is silver.  Both brembos and look the same but that can't be factory fitted can it?  Doesn't matter. I'm going to strip them anyway.  I bet its a bugger to bleed the linked ones...
Due to italian electrickery I am saying nowt. Despite nearly giving the Vstrom away the honda has gone...

The calipers should be the same colour but certain bikes had Gold and others Silver but they were the same item.
Your bike has probably had a defective caliper replaced with a used one in the only colour available at the time.

I thought the calipers were just a later mix ...no biggie. My shopping list looks small and cheap. Fork seals and brake pads...maybe seals for the calipers. And loads of acorn nuts.Big smile
