Despite the best efforts of it's previous Italian owner who "restored" it well enough for Bretti Brothers (Italian dealers) to advertise it as "on the road" I have today clocked up about 6 miles on my little Model S without incident. It thundered up Sandridge hill near Melksham at about 30mph in 3rd and managed to stop at the bottom when we came back down. It seems designed for Fungus the Bogeyman, for those of us who remember him, ie: someone about 5 feet tall with leg muscles from Charles Atlas, for those of us who remember him. The right heel-toe gear change is about 2 or 3 inches higher than the footrest which itself seems to set the rider's knees up under his chin; the heel operated foot brake was surprisingly easy to find but from behind it must have looked as if I was trying to do a charleston with my feet BUT IT'S GREAT FUN!

Found a photo on't web, see what you mean about the gearchange pedal, 'course it's a heel-and-toe type and so I am reminded of being told that an Italian gentleman would NEVER put his polished shoe upper UNDER a control pedal to pull it up. Big smile

Side stand is a Vintel, made a chap in the VMCC after a vintage design. It’s more effective than the house brick used by the PO.
