I just bought this great convert but it came with a Vetter Windjammer fairing, which does not suit my riding style (anyone want a vintage fairing?). I am trying to remove the controls and attach them to a new handle bar and I cannot figure out how to remove the kill/starter switch from the right handle. It looks like there is a trick involving pressing tabs and pushing and pulling simultaneously. Worst case scenario I cut the wires where they enter the bars and then splice back together.
Thanks

The original plastic switch assembly of the period is tightened on the handelbar by two minute screws on the underside, the heads are sunk in the switch body if I remember. Flat blade screwdriver.

If that switch is like the V50, there's also a central screw (allen head on mine) which is used to tighten the switch against the bar so that it doesn't rotate. When you refit, slacken this off fisrt, use the 2 screws  JPC  mentions to close up the 2 halves then the 3rd screw to stop it rotating.

It's all a bit mickey mouse in my view.
