GuzziCuri -- here's my experience with your questions:
At Hwy speeds I have felt the bike get pushed a bit when there are strong crosswinds. But I experienced the same thing on my old Kawasaki Vulcan. The wind has to be pretty gusty and strong before it feels uncomfortable. I have experienced a "wobble" one time when passing a large semi on the freeway with another semi in front. There were some crazy whipping winds that made the bike wobble slightly. I was going about 85mph and letting off the throttle stopped the wobble. I've been at speeds of up to 109 and have not felt that wobble again. I think it was a combination of speed and swirling winds coming off those two trucks. The wind protection is great around the torso and down, but I sit a little taller on the bike at 6'1" and the fairing isn't quite high enough to keep the wind off the top of my helmet. If you sit a little smaller on the bike it keeps the wind off of you. I never really notice what the steering damper does so I can't answer that. Moving around the garage: The bike is top heavy so moving it around requires some muscle at times. But the larger front wheel does help in moving it around. I have not had any problems with the bike (knock on wood) so far. The only thing after 3,000 miles is my headlamp burnt out on a trip where I kept my light on BRIGHTS the entire time (1,200 mile trip). What I like about the bike: The character of the bike -- it rumbles when it idles, which I like, and then when you get the bike going it turns into the smoothest ride I've ever felt on a motorcycle. Something to do with the top-heaviness of those transverse V-twin heads I think. The bike just wants to go fast. In sixth gear between 60-100 MPH the bike is in its comfort zone. So smooth and it really performs in this range. I have never been able to find its top speed. I've had it up to 109 and still had lots of throttle to go. It's a comfortable bike to ride. Wide seat makes it comfortable somehow. I like that it's not super loud. I'm bugged by super loud bikes so I like that the bike does not piss off my neighbors when I ride off. I love how the bike handles in the twisties. It handles like a smaller performance bike in the turns. I like that it gets lots of attention from on-lookers. I can't stop for gas without at least one person saying how cool the bike is. I've had many people ask to take pictures of it. People love the look of the bike. I love the bike and highly recommend testing it out. It feels like no other bike I've been on. It's a smooth, high-performance machine!

Thank you ver much! That was just what I was looking for. I love the bike, but the potential wobble scares me. How is it on long trips? Who do you ride with HD riders or other baggers?

Hi, all! I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. I found you guys and girls in the course of a search on the following issue: I bought a new MGX 21 last summer. I love most everything about the bike. However I have noticed a significant wobble, non-existent until about 85 miles an hour on the interstate. It gets geometrically worse as speed increases, especially when passing semi-trucks. I tried checking wheel balance (dealer says it’s true), removing the carbon fiber spoke cover (no difference), and I have also asked the dealer to confirm that a proper weight was installed in the fork (it was), as well as to check the low speed steering damper (which checked out okay). I am primarily a sport bike rider, and understand this bike is not meant for supersonic speeds; however there are times when one needs to get home in a hurry. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Sorry; I now realize I did not turn the page on this site and see the above post when I posted. Nonetheless, I am still interested in anyone else’s experience with a high-speed wobble? Thanks, and happy riding!

Have you tried raising the deck 5mms? Or, adjusting the rr preload/ride height? Can the angle of the bat wing be varied, i.e. slightly higher? I have read a lot about the wobble at 80+ mph, but nobody seems to have tried making any adjustments to try and tune it out, particularly like raising the deck 5mms to tighten the front geometry a little, i.e reduce WB and rake.

Hi Guzzibrother,
Welcome I did not see this thread either when it was first posted, to be honest when I saw the thread heading I thought it was for a dating site Good luck with your bike and getting things sorted, maybe stick a thread in the 'random Chat' section as there doesn't seem to be a specific section for the bike in the Technical. Cheers

Do you mean a section for the MGX-21 or making a dating site?
