Lights available from Moto Renzo at 12.50 Euro each with 6.50 euro postage. I have used them previously and service is quick.

A supplier I didn't know about. Thanks for the information which may prove useful in the future.

No you can't use an LED for the charge warning light without doing more mods to the wiring.

That would be true on a Guzzi with a Bosch alternator like the V7 Sport and onward which requires certain amount of resistance in the warning light circuit in order to "excite" the charging system. But on a generator equipped Loopframe you can use an incandescent or LED without any changes. The generator system will charge even if the bulb is blown or there's no bulb at all.
Sorry to hack this post.
I have no idiot lights on my V7 850 GT, would this effect the charging system?

thanks

I don't think the lack of a charging light will make any difference. You just won't be able to tell if the system is working other than switching on the headlamp and seeing if it brightens with an increase in rev's.
