1.5 inch puddle of hypoid oil under the Gearbox. Haven't had a closer look yet. Big or small job?

Not enough info, you'll need to look at it more.

But check its breather hose not split.

Exactly where is it dripping from?

There are easy leaks and hard leaks. I'd eliminate the easy ones first - breather, neutral switch, clutch pushrod.

Check this first.

I had a leak from my LM2, at first it appeared to be leaking from the drain plug as it was gathering there but it turned out the breather pipe had simply popped off.

Concur with checking all the above before worrying about gearbox strip downs.
And the correct routing for the oil breather is up then along, as originally fitted. This allows the oil mist in the expelled gases to adhere to the pipe sides, then run back into the gearbox when you stop. The pipe was originally routed up to the level of the side panel upper bracket then ran to the point on the frame where the side panel triangle (IUSWIM?) is completed.

Along, then up, can result in pumping because a puddle can form which blocks the pipe enough for the gas pressure to push it up and out, rinse and repeat, oil everywhere...

Thanks for the tips, men. Family things have prevented me getting in the garage today, hopefully have a look tomorrow.

Finally got the Cali on the work bench. The puddle has grown over the week without the bike moving so it surely cannot be engine breather. Defo smells like gear oil and looks initially like the pushrod, hopefully. I've included 2 cone seals in my latest Gutsibits order.

They only stop oil going along the rod to the clutch. Unless you also bought an O-ring for the 'T' piece the clutch arm presses on?

Assuming the leak is coming from there.
