Not oil thread but thought it might be best to ask here.

On advice from this post:http://www.guzziriders.org/waterproof-grease_topic8558_post83464.html?KW=waterproof+grease#83464 I have bought some valvoline moly grease, less than £7 on ebay and will last me forever. (Getting ready for when I get mobile enough to have a go at greasing shaft and suspension linkage)

Just wondering if this is recommended for linkage roller bearings and splines?

I now have black, brown, copper brown, blue and red grease. Going to have to remember what works where Smile

You'll need some white grease to go with your collection. If nothing else, you can use it to make different shades from the ones you already have.

Ha, yes you're right. Forgot that one, I do have some white spray grease. Not touched it for at least 10 years, wonder what it was for?

Buggered if I know. But given that I know that I don't know anything about engineering, engines, or stuff mechanical or electrical, when my mate (who does know all these things and more) says: "what you need is", then I go get it. And use it as and where instructed.

White is usually Lithium, and it's also fairly waterproof.

Don't know about the moly grease, but provided it's fairly thick you can use it on linkages, don't foget the bolts also need a coating of grease.

Splines as on shaft drive needs something which will not be thrown off.  To be honest I would have thought anti centrifuge chain lubricant would work well.
