I went to my local classic bike club last night and was asked if it was me who bought a lightly crash damaged LeMans 2 that sold in Carmarthen. I was shown photos of a black and gold LM2 with some sparkly paint.

It sold for...

....£1400!

1972 V7Sport "The Racing Rhino".
1972 V7 700cc "The Fire Bike".
1954? Superalce
1954 BSA M33 (to be sold)

Some of those little auctions, especially the non-bike specific ones can give real bargains. I like the HJ Pugh ones in Ledbury although folk have now discovered it.

I'm surprised the seller didn't put a reserve on that LM.

It must have been such a low price because of that blooming sparkly paint, painful on the eyes.

Why "ouch" ?

Sparkly paint and dings aside, seems to be complete and clean. So yeah a bargain. Big smile

I think the fairing got off very lightly in the spill or whatever it was, that would have been the biggest headache to fix.

Given the chance I would have braved the wrath of my missus and bid for it. Of course, if there were more bidders the final price may have been quite a bit more. I wouldn't have kept it but fettled it for a friend who tells me he really needs a Guzzi LeMans but is lacking sufficient funds.
