Just a hint for any Loop owners who may not be aware. The pictured warning light lenses do occasionally make a bid for freedom and are expensive, £30ish, to replace. My advice would be to apply a smear of RTV or Wellseal to the threads which will stop them from coming undone. I'm about to take my own advice having just lost one for the second time!

Replacements! Where from? I have a right old mismatch fitted at the moment and it would be nice to get all my ducks in a row so to speak.

MG Cycle here in the US has them, but I'm sure there's a source in Europe they buy from.

Yes, they are available in Europe. Stein Dinse has them but they work out to be very expensive. Particularly as SD add an extra ten Euros for a small package containing just one lens. This, as I stated above means that a single lens costs around £30 delivered.

I can't understand the ten Euro surcharge.

Depending on what sort of rivet counter you are, there are several other lights which are very similar, such as this (@ $8).

This guy offers an unbelievable variety of Guzzi parts, I'm not sure it's real, it's in French, but he has these lenses, half the price mentionned by Dave.
Look at "Electricite.pdf", three pages from the bottom of the list.

I could become a different kind of rivet counter having seen your post Brian. I couldn't use an LED for the generator warning light though.......could I?

"Packing" charge...   Very popular !

A lens like yours comes in a cardboard crate big enough for a microwave oven.

Or sift through this list.

No you can't use an LED for the charge warning light without doing more mods to the wiring.

That's an amazing parts list from a supplier I've never heard of before!  He even does parts for the old singles.  I wish I'd seen this 3 weeks ago as I rode through his village on the way from Millau to Carcassone.

On the topic of warning lights, the ones on the V7 Sport, 750S and 850T are a bit different, but just as expensive.  I decided to switch to Lucas which are very similar but only cost £32 for all 4.

That would be true on a Guzzi with a Bosch alternator like the V7 Sport and onward which requires certain amount of resistance in the warning light circuit in order to "excite" the charging system. But on a generator equipped Loopframe you can use an incandescent or LED without any changes. The generator system will charge even if the bulb is blown or there's no bulb at all.

Ah yes, if it's a dynamo then any light will work.

Well, although Gutsibits don't show these items on their website, it transpires that they can get them to order. At around one-third of the price asked by others, it has to be a bargain. Well done GB. In future, I'll start any search for parts in Huddersfield.
