The Norge appeals. How good are the lights? They look like projectors and my experience of those has not been good. I'd also like to know real world mpg and tank range. Thanks in advance

Hi. I have a 2012 8v. The headlights are very good, good bright lights with a good spread on standard bulbs. I have never felt the need to change

As far as mileage is concerned a lot of that is down to your personal riding style and the roads but I get about 28 around town and 45 + on a long run

It is a great bike but if it is an 8v before 2013 make sure it has had the roller tappets done or get ready to pay about £1000

Cheers Jim.  I have read up on the cam issues anything else I need to know?  What are the service intervals?

Thanks

I usually get about 200 miles to a tank on my 2 valve. That's when the light comes on, so there is more in the tank.
As Jim says, headlight is excellent.

12000 miles. Easy oil change with filter on outside. You can set the valves without removing the fairing but if you need to balance the throttles a couple of panels have to come off.

I have had it 40 years and usenit most days not had any real problem with it apart from the stuttering at slow speeds which I solved with a Finebau Forge unit, and a one off fuse issue easily solved when identified.

I don't think there is much difference performance wise between the GT8V and the earlier 2 valve models.
Don't buy a non roller 8 valve, but all the 2 valve earlier models are pretty bomb proof.
