UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST.....

Decided to focus on Breva 750.

Hi folks - new here. Only recently discovered Guzziriders and looks a great resource. Grateful to all those that make it so. One or two names I recognise from being a club member a number of years ago.

Would like something mechanically sound as opposed to a bike needing work. Unfortunately, budget is very modest - up to around 2k - but would be pleased to hear from anyone that might have something suitable.

At a stretch could manage about £2,500.......

you should be able to pick up a decent breva, or an early V7 special for that money, or even a V50 but they are all getting  a bit long in the tooth and a good one will fetch much more

Thanks Rapheal,

Realistically I suppose I'm looking at a Breva or possibly a Nevada. Not so keen on Nevada style but lower seat appeals as does the fairly basic nature of the bike. I don't want something that's heavy either hence the small block search.

Could maybe offer a little more than 2k if something was to come up. Wouldn't be afraid of higher miles either as long as it was a sound bike and priced accordingly. Have  been looking for a while but not much around apart from occasional dealer bikes that are beyond my budget.

Something might crop up with any luck......

If seat height is an issue don’t forget that you can get a lowered seat that fits on the Breva. I bought mine 5 years ago from a lady who had decided to give up touring....she had just come back from a 2000 mile trip around Italy accompanying her husband on his big BMW beast. The bike had the MG lowered seat fitted which she assured me was called the ‘lady seat’, how true that it I don’t know! Anyway it’s just about perfect for my 29” inside leg.

Hello I have a 2003 750 breva with 65k on the clock.  Mechanically sound but looks it's age.  Would let go for around £800 if interested.
