    Posted: 13 Dec 2018 at 16:10
I need a new spring for my seat latch, it is common to all Tonti frame bike seats and fits between the seat latch and the seat base pulling the latch shut. Can I find one? Not so far and I have tried all of the usual suspects, Gutsibits say they are part of the seat and can not be bought separately. I have found one on line in stainless steel but they have a minimum order of 5 springs and postage of £12.50 for orders under £30.00 (free postage above that), making 5 springs £25.00 and all I need is one. Any ideas?

You'd be surprised if you phones them up. They might even send you one if you sent them a pic of it or similar if they have one lying about.

In the late 60's early 70's Redditch was extended and used for population overspill from Birmingham after they knocked the slums down.
A lot of small manufacturing companies moved as well as their premises went as well as the house.

The length is just under 50mm  extended and about 45mm at rest with a central coil 5mm dia x about 20mm long. The wire is under 1mm dia and the hooks at the ends are one up and one down.

The paint finish in the photo is down to rattle can spray over Hammerite smooth, instant age!

I have been quoted £22 each for 2 or £11,50 each for 5 in stainless steel. made specifically for me.

I have decided to utilise a rubber band
