I think that you do have a point there Butch. One which I have thought long and hard about. There will be a watershed when we tip over to the majority of vehicles will use alternative fuels.

Then there will be a massive surplus of IC engines vehicles and without doubt their values will be rock bottom.

I also agree that genuine classics will always have value, just how much remains to be seen.

Other thoughts were about watching that cash sitting in a account not doing very well against the rages of inflation
and perhaps controversially, so shhhh!!! ...
To a minor degree, the (taking a ) chance of being able to pass on said vehicles in a manner which will not attract the inheritance tax bogey man. IMHO inheritance tax is so unfair. Taxes when you earn it, when you save it, when you spend it, when you insure, when you drive, when you fly the bastid of all when you die.

Yes I am well aware of the legal obligations and how to do probate etc. But the truth is, an old motorbike is easier to squirrel away and attract less attention than money.

Good job that I’m not as old as your good self Wink

It's not age but a bad back.

I looked at one of these but my back said no.

Beautiful machine, would have one in a minute, I'm glad you bought what 'you' wanted and to do with it what you will, when and how often you want to Clap.
