I'm about to wire in a second fuse box on my 2007 1200 Sport (2 valve head) I have a workshop manual but cannot make out the detail on the wiring page even with a magnifying glass. Can any one advise which wire (colour) to connect the trigger wire to the new fuse box. I have always connected to the rear light on other bikes but wonder if it would be easier to tap into the accessory socket assuming It's only live with the bike running.
Any advice appreciated.

This should cover the 1200S too.

The accessory socket is live all the time.
The rear light is on a 15 amp fuse which also supplies the starter solenoid. I wouldn't load that any more.

What extras are you intending to wire up to this extra fuse box? Do you need it switched by the ignition? Might be easier to wire it direct to the battery positive.

Brian.

Thanks for your reply I will look at this old tractor. The fuse box I am fitting gives me the choice of on all the time to on only when bike running hence the trigger wire to operate the switch to the on when running side of fuse box. I am wiring in a camera mounted under the front fairing its similar to dash cams in cars. Also heated gloves the extra fuse box is to reduce the number of connections to the battery
