Having sold my Nevada four years ago and since then moving to Norfolk I have stopped resisting and bought another Guzzi recently. SuperAlce, I know it is slow but so am I and is suitable for the lanes of Norfolk. Only rode it up and down my road so far as I am still getting the knack of starting it. Bought from Northern Ireland, previously bought from Wiltshire. I think that it might have belonged to Jerry Atric. On Q plate but now regesterd 40 years ago so Historic from 1st April.

Hi George, it sure was mine and I was tempted to buy it back; a great bike. The only reason I sold it was the riding position which crippled my arthritic knees. They do have a tendency to get vapour lock in the fuel line when petrol is getting low in the tank. If it happens, open the filler and blow into the tank, sealing your mouth round the filler (Nice!). The guy in NI made a lovely job of it from what I can see. I hope you have many happy miles round Norfolk on it.

That looks lovely... A nice low seat height (new bikes are so tall these days!). I love the pillion "handlebars", not sure how easy it will be to swing a leg over though..!!

have fun in Norfolk George...

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Jerry, I find the riding position comfortable. Being a short arse my knees are not to bent. I am waiting till 1st April to register as historic before using it. Have you still got the red horizontal single? Give my regards to Derek when you see him.

Adrian the pillion handlebars swing down when not in use. I also like a low seat height. Not keen on needing a ladder to get astride a modern bike. I can get both feet on the ground on all four of my italian bikes. If I can suss it out I will add a photo.

Select "post reply", then click on the little tree at the top of the box (Insert image).
In that dialogue box select "browse" then select the image you want to post.
Alternatively use a third party image hosting website, where you can post a high definition image.

If you want to know something ask an expertSmile
I sold my 750 Nevada four years ago because it was getting to heavy. I now have a superAlce that is heavier but easy to push around thanks to low centre of gravity.
I see you are in Essex. I have recently moved from south Essex

I have just looked at this as I had trouble when I first joined the Group...
If you click on the little tree at the top of the message screen (Insert Image) and look at the text it lists the parameters required - rather old-fashioned in today's world!
The important one is file size , 400kb max is ludicrously small these days , more than ten times that is normal image size now! File type may be an issue & worth checking if you are not using a Windows device..
I tend to take the image concerned and edit it under 400kb, making sure I save the smaller version as a separate file  name (saves the original one popping back up in error!!).

We get so used to modern ways of moving stuff from one place to another I guess. When I started my career in IT a floppy disk (8") had a maximum capacity of 80kb, and every byte counted ! (and Windows or pictures of any kind was a very long way off.....).

Cheers,
Adrian

LOL
Appreciate the effort Adrian, but you're seriously underestimating the level of thick.
