I have an eclectic collection of yokes that I'd like to sell, but unfortunately I don't know what they will fit.
I'd really appreciate some help identifying them please.
They all appear to be in very good condition and very useable. All have been finely blasted, I assume either vapour blasted or wet grit blasted. The finish is very fine and smooth. Threads are all in good condition as are the bores for stanchions and stem. (Sorry, no stems!)
If you have a need for any of them please let me know. I have an idea what I want for them, but guidance will be appreciated, especially if they end up on ebay.

I'll start with the top yoke.

Stanchions 34.5mm
Stem 30mm
Stanchion centres 195mm
Offset 65mm

These measurements are not micrometer perfect.

Bottom yoke No1.

Stanchions 38mm
Stem   28.5mm
Stanchion centres 195mm
Offset 65mm

This would match the top yoke if the stanchions are stepped at the top?

Just looked up replacement stanchions and I see that they are either 35mm or 38mm and not stepped at the top.
This means none of my yokes pair with one another, But I do think that the top yoke will be for 850-T and T3 ect and probably fit a Le Mans to convert to 7/8" bars. I'm guessing though.

Le Mans 2 have top yoke with bar fitments even though they have clip-on bars, the rubber dash hides the yoke. Probably the same as fitted to Spada models?

The forks are also 35mm diameter and they look similar to the one you're showing.

AFAIK, LM1 have, not only thinner forks but also a narrower track than LM2.

Thanks for that info Tim. Strange that the LM2 has the handlebar clamps, but makes life easy if you want to fit other bars.

I'm now certain that the top yoke is for 850-T at least, having managed to make some crude measurements on the one fitted to mine. (Not easy!)
The casting is identical.

Gutsibits list 35mm stanchions as fitting;"1000 SP, Le Mans 2, Le Mans 3, 850T, T3, T4, S3, 750S, V7 Sport, Convert, G5"
That makes all those models candidates for the top yoke, but it doesn't take centres into consideration, nor any other design feature.
LM Mk 1 not listed as fitting 35mm stanchions, so maybe they do have smaller ones? Or maybe different length?

Their list for 38mm stanchions is much shorter; "V35 TT, V65 TT"
So that narrows down what bottom yoke No1 will fit.

I'm guessing that Bottom yoke No2 with the narrower centres will be for an earlier model, 750S or V7 Sport maybe?

Not sure what diameter LM1 forks are but I recall, from when I fitted an LM1 fairing to my LM2 that when looking for the headlamp brackets (clamp round the fork leg) that the LM1 type didn't fit and I think because they are smaller diameter?

I do know that the track is wider on the LM2 and I had to open up the LM1 fairing to fit round the forks, the instrument binnacle mounting holes were too close together to fit the lugs on the yoke and the discs have thicker spacers (same wheels) to accomodate the wider set calipers, a quick measure shows 195mm between the forks on mine and they look like this;

Thanks again Tim.
Your top yoke looks identical to my spare and 850-T one, so there's at least two models it will fit.

Your fork tops are different though I have flat nuts with a Shrader fitted in each. The previous owner sent me a hand pump and stated that one stroke was the right amount of air from empty.
No idea if this a standard feature or just his mod. the fork action is pretty good though so no need to fix what aint broke.

Fork caps are 'Bitubo', no idea if the forks are standard or if they've been worked on?

Previous owner had done some tuning; high comp pistons, balanced crank, bigger carb jets and a 'hot' cam, so may have played with the forks.

LM2 had same big rubber dash as Spada, only difference it has 'Le Mans' embossed on it instead of 'Spada'. Big smile

The dash frame was supported on two M8 threaded pillars that screwed into the rearmost hnadlebar clamp holes, hence LM2 top yoke had to have this feature. But yes it enabled a change of handlebars to non-clip-on, and indeed I did this for my LM1 by fitting spare Spada 'bar I had (and a LM2 top yoke).

On the Spada the dash pillars went on top of the upside-down 'U' clamps that hold the 'bars on. Hope that makes sense.

Big smile

Do the yokes not have part numbers embossed on them? Might be able to look them up if so.

I found by accident that Gutsibits sell several "upgrades" for pneumatic fork damping which could well be what's on my forks. I'm in no hurry to strip them to find out.

Thanks for your info Mike, even though you have confused me by mentioning your LM1/LM2 yoke swap, which contradicts what DD has said.

Looking up replacement fork tubes I find LM1 tubes are 35mm but differ with thinner walls and I think length. All interesting stuff, but doesn't help me much with my yoke ID.

Thanks for mentioning part numbers Mike.
I had a good look and they are present on two yokes but hard to see, requiring strong oblique light.
I have;
Bottom Yoke 2.. 144.94 00 No definitive info to be found for this so far.

Top Yoke 17.49 31.00/8 Better results for this revealing its a T3 California yoke. So that's another range it will fit.
Top yoke is definitely the easiest to ident for certain and will fit 850-T, LM2 and T3. Possibly LM1 and Strada?

Sadly no marks found on bottom yoke No1 with the 38mm stanchions, but 38mm stanchions only listed for about 3 models anyway.

If anyone on here would like any of these parts, please shout quick. I think I will see what Gutsibits will offer me for the lot next week.
