Next Wednesday (27th) I head for Plymouth... and 2 weeks of Europrean roads. Im developing an unhealthy interest in the weather forecasts of EuropeWink.
Its looking promising, so at the moment I'm either going to try to go straight to the factory, or maybe head West to Vigo and NW Spain, which is meant to be wonderful.
France will ger visited too, as the boat comes back from Cherbourg on the 8th Oct..

FInal fettling of the 1200 this morning, plus first run through of "stuff" I need to take.

I hope you get better weather in Northern Italy than that which prevailed when I headed for the factory in July. I kept an eye on the forecasts and concluded that turning west for Spain and the Picos de Europa would be a better bet; and so it was. Have a great ride wherever you end up !!

I got on fabulously thank you, got back Sunday night... the scariest thing was riding at night from Poole back home... watching for potholes.
I'm sorry accessing the forum on route was just too tricky, but there is a daily update on the FB group:
Its a good little group, not too many FB twats on it... I also kept the WIltshire Guzzi FB page up to date.

Basically covered 2500 miles. Santander to Pampalona, through to Lourdes - accross France to Italy and onto Mandello, then back via the Little St Bernard Pass and accross to see a friend in Brittany (maybe a bit too much of a slog that one! Finally back up to Cherbourg. Motorways were only used to get accross Southern France on the way to Italy.

No waterproofs needed at any point, most days levelled out at just shy of 30, and until the final few days the nights were warm. The last camp night the temp dropped to 2 (frost on bike and tent Angry)

The 1200 didnt miss a beat - and the rear tyre lasted.... though I'm not sure it would get through an MOT!!

Sounds like a really good tour. I'm jealous and want to set off again.
