Looking for a low mileage Griso 1200 8V
Must be factory rollered or been rollerised.
Anything considered but must be in good condition with lots of service history.
Please send me a PM with details if you have a bike to sell.
Many thanks

Well, I got sorted... sort of!
Seems there's not a lot of choice out there and I didn't get any responses on the forum, which means people on here actually like their Griso's.
Anyhow I picked up an' 09 unrollered model in need of a bit of TLC but with lots of potential, so I can see some shed time coming up soon Big smile

Have you checked for damage to the cams/followers? Don't put off doing the mod, it will fail in time.

Thanks Brian, already on it.

Really wanted a later model or one that had had it done but I haven't been able to find one, so it will be the first job! Stern Smile

Have you got the Roller kit yet ??  There have been some issues reported on Ghetto with mixed bits being shipped (depending on the year, the cam box/plug tube & rocker covers are different & older ones like mine & probably yours need a valve shim, so also need head gasket - just buy one middle sized one as all three is expensive).

Not bought anything yet. Spoke to an independent Guzzi specialist whose done few and I need Kit C which is the expensive one but he reckons it’s a bit cheaper to buy Kit B and buy the extra bits separately so he’s going to order all the bits and do the conversion.

Maybe you could post picutures of before, during and completion of the conversion?  Who's doing the conversion for you?

Hopefully a guy near Leeds , 1921 Moto, but I think there’s a 4-6 week wait for parts.
I think I’ve seen a documented process of the conversion on one of the forums but can’t remember so I’ll ask the guy to take some pics if he’ll do it.

I did my own conversion (& wrote it up with pictures) but it's mainly based on Pete Roper video plus some other posts - Griso ghetto has loads of resources on doing conversion yourself & not to hard TBH. Cost me GBP 950 in parts.

For my 2009 Griso I needed A kit plus extra bits, but that's because Moto Forza had already changed cam covers/plug tube along with 'even harder TLC coated flat followers' at 13,500 miles  - they failed equally badly 10K miles later.

I think there were four versions of the flat followers before they gave up and went to rollers. The latest was better - marginally.
