Im hoping this is considered acceptable as its a different Italian classic, but for my life to be complete, Id love a Ducati 900SS to sit alongside my Guzzi!
![]() I would love to find a silver / blue bike ideally, thats mechanically solid. (Who wouldnt?!) Cosmetics and paint are less of a problem as I would enjoy gradually improving those those myself. I also havent got the savings for a show winner! If anyone here knows of a bike they would insist on going to a good home to be very well loved alongside another 70s Italian classic, please let me know. Im a genuine and honest biker who makes a great cup of tea! Im also an eternal optimist! Oh well, nothing ventured!...

Ouch
thats going to hurt your bank balance, I dont think a cheap one will turn up anytime soon, My mechanic owns one, and I know what that cost to put back to Factory spec, people know the value of them so its unlikely you will get a cheap one, perhaps better to buy a really good one that will keep its value I did notice that at a recent classic bike auction I attended , they were not hitting the silly high reserves either Edited by rapheal - 30 Sep 2024 at 19:42 |

Cheers Raphael, you’re absolutely right!
I’m probably able to sort most things other than complex bevel drive shimming so not sure if that helps my chances! I’m probably a mindless optimist about finding something I can afford without selling a child and my patience eventually paid off when I finally found the Guzzi I’d always wanted! One day maybe!
