For some time now I have struggled with the forum Post writer.  Frim time to time it adds spurious letters to what I'm writing, often after I've corrected my text.  If I try to delete the spurious letter not input by me the text editor begins to add more spurious letters and removing gaps!  I

it just me that the text editor hates?

I have this problem on my current Android phone, andaand onAon tablet, and my earlier Windows phone.  Using 3 different browsers. See example above.  I input "and on" and the text editor writes "andaand onA".

Definitely weird and becomes annoying.

I normally use a PC, so maybe I'm not the one to answer.
But I have also occasionally used an Android tablet and my Windows smartphone, and have not had that problem.
I have had the first letter in any post duplicated, but that's all.
As in Aand or Bbut.

Sounds like autocomplete is up the spout? That's a phone feature nothing to do with the forum. Works OK on my iPhone as far as I know (but not used it lately), and iPhone has it's own way of autocompleting words.

I doubt the device or browser is the problem since it has happened on 3 different devices, 2 differentOdifferent OS, and 3 browsers.

I recollect now it happened on my (work) Windows 7 laptop but that's a few years ago.

It doesn't happen on any other software / forum either.  Just here.

If its its  just me that this will happens to then I'll live with it.  The syntactical errors in previous sentence are not mine but the Editor adding its own words.

The editor is a bit of standard kit, used across many forums.
I have checked on the WebWiz help forum and there are no comments there about problems either.

Perhaps the issue is caused by my User Profile - it might be haunted by a poltergeist who's a fan of Guzzis Shocked
