V35 Motoplat, Elektronik Sachse or Silent Hektik?

Just to update this topic, the Silent Hektik system is now fitted and working. It was pretty easy to fit, but it was a bit of a squeeze getting the new coils under the tank and I had to extend the wiring to fit the ignition module where I wanted it 
The spark plugs now have a massive spark! The bike is currently starting immediately I press the starter button and both cylinders chime in straight away (previously one cylinder fired up, the other took minute or two)
I don't really understand the timing options. The standard timing for the V35/3 is 30°btdc, the standard timing for the V35/1 and V35/2 is 34°. Why the difference for what is basically the same bike with different styling.
The bike feels "nippier" if I set at the ignition to 34°, but I also have the option of 36° (not tried yet) and I also have the options of steep and flat ignition curves.
Since getting the bike back on the road, it is now hesitant when cruising at small throttle openings, for example when going through 30 or 40mph limits on 1/4 throttle. This hesitation disappears as soon as I change the throttle position, so I'm assuming a pilot jet is blocked 
Thank you for the help and advice over this purchase, it wasn't cheap, but the bike is now back on the road

Read through this, it might help. The throttle cutaway plays a part just off tickover, and I remember some had a problem with it being a weak mixture causing that hesitation.

Try playing with the mixture screws - the stock setting is / was 1.5 turns out from fully screwed in, but I remember them having to be 2.5 turns out for a long time. Turned out jets were partially restricted, new jets restored the 1.5 turns out positions. Hope that makes sense. This was for VHB30 carbs.

Yes it makes perfect sense. Yesterday I did "adjust" the mixture screw and it seemed to mask the fault. The bike wasn't happy idling, so I adjusted them back, but I will have a look at the pilot jets next

When I got my V35II I had a few fuelling issues, mainly rich running. Initially I changed the main & pilot jets but the real improvement came when I changed the needles & needle jets, the originals were worn...
This is with the stock VHBZ carbs..... It took me a while to track down the correct items at sensible prices!

Yes, I had badly worn needle jets in my V50. Changing them made quite a difference. I only changed the jets, the needles don't generally wear too much.
