Collected on Tuesday from Fraser's of Gloucester. So far so good, suspension especially the front seems a little on the firm side, even with my ample ballast!

Very nice Chris... These days I'm not sure I could swing my leg high enough to get over that interesting looking bag on the back though... ![]() Cheers, Adrian Bristol UK

Thanks Johnno. Twas was me that recommended it. Q bag from sportsbikeshop, good piece of kit. Lower than a top box Adrian so you could probably get your leg over it, I manage with my arthritic hip although it helps the V7 is quite low anyway.

Looking for a decent replacement horn, original is hopeless. No space to fit my Denali sound bomb mini in the current horn location under the headstock. Seem to remember it was more convenient on my previous V7 mkii. Have you changed the horn on yours by any chance Mike?

Everyone complains about this. What I did, go to Vehicle Wiring Products site and look for Compact Horn 12V. (Note mine was a the black version, it's changed since to this silver version.) But has a nice 'authorative' tone, a bit like a hoot from a big truck. Blurb says 'A powerful horn for its size' - 90mm dia. However try to reuse the stock horn's bracket, which has an anti-vibration rubber grommet or bush for the stud on the actual horn, instead of the bracket that comes with the new horn, which will snap and leave the horn dangling from its wires, guess how I know. Hello V7Chris. I haven't been on this site for ages, so It's nice to see that you're back on a Guzzi and a V7 too! I still have your (my?) previous V7ii, though I haven't ridden it since the last MOT in 2024. I am taking it for an MOT this coming Monday and it should pass without any drama. You may recall that you had it fitted with horns x 2, which are very effective. So effective, in fact, that I got ticked off by the tester the first time I took it for an MOT for not warning him about how loud they were! ![]() I look forward to hearing how you feel your latest V7 compares to your (my?) previous example - Evolution or revolution? |

Hello John
Nice to hear from you and pleased you still have the V7ii. I wish I could fit those horns to the new one which is definitely evolution rather than revolution. I actually prefer yours aesthetically. It's early days with mine, about 1500 miles on the clock now and I'm very much enjoying it so far. Having said that, I am on RE 350 in France at the moment along with a friend on another RE 350, who says you need 100 bhp+ and an 'adventure' bike to go touring! I am now in mid Wales so anytime you fancy a ride out to this neck of the woods, let me know. Chris
